To improve the efficiency and reliability of the water system, ASADA has partnered with La Liga de Agua to upgrade the current infrastructure. The existing 3-inch pipes that supply water from Tank 5 will be replaced with 4-inch pipes. This enhancement will make it possible for Tank 1 to be automatically fed from Tank 5 using gravity, eliminating the need for manual valve operations by our plumber. Previously, manual intervention often led to excessive overflow and unnecessary water waste. In addition to these pipe upgrades, timers have been installed on the tanks to facilitate a semi-automated process. Roberto will actively monitor the tanks to determine the optimal times and quantities for filling each tank, adjusting as necessary between the wet and dry seasons to account for varying community water consumption. ASADA and OA are coordinating this work alongside scheduled road improvements to minimize disruption and inconvenience for residents.
During the period when the pipe replacement is underway, we strongly encourage all residents on the ridge to conserve water. Although every effort will be made to ensure continuous water supply, Tank 5 will need to be temporarily taken offline to accommodate the upgrade. Conserving water during this time will help prevent depletion of the system and ensure everyone has access to water throughout this period.
If you do not already have a personal water tank, we highly recommend considering the installation of one. Having your own water storage will help mitigate the effects of scheduled maintenance, ensuring you have a consistent supply even when the primary system is being repaired or upgraded.
We greatly appreciate your continued support and understanding as we proceed with these essential improvements to our water infrastructure.
